The aim of BAFA funding is to give small and medium-sized companies access to external advice. This support is particularly valuable when preparing for certifications. However, it is important to note that there is no legal entitlement to this funding; BAFA decides on the allocation of funds at its own discretion.
Companies in the new federal states (excluding the state of Berlin and the Leipzig region) receive a funding rate of 80% and a maximum grant of EUR 2,800.
In other parts of Germany, 50% of the consultancy costs are covered with a maximum subsidy of EUR 1,750.
